What is hypochlorous acid (HOCl)?
Hypochlorous acid is a naturally occurring, broad-spectrum disinfectant produced by white blood cells. It’s effective against bacteria, viruses, and fungi, yet gentle on skin and most surfaces.
Why isn't HOCl more widely known?
HOCl has been used for over 100 years, even in WWI for wounds. However, it hasn't been widely adopted because it is unstable. Other HOCl products and processes can degrade quickly or turn into bleach. They use hypochlorite (bleach), buffers like vinegar, or other additives in their production. How long is the solution effective?
Once dissolved, the solution remains effective when stored in a tightly sealed, opaque container at room temperature, out of direct sunlight. Efficacy decreases after 7 days, so discard, rinse the bottle and replace with a freshly prepared solution.
How do I use the tablets?
Simply use in tablet form or dissolve the tablet into clean water for effective use. Use with spray bottle or soak items. Dissolves in warm water faster (within minutes). For best results, use distilled, filtered, RO or pure water to ensure the highest purity of the solution.
