What is hypochlorous acid (HOCl)?
Hypochlorous is found naturally in our white blood cells to fight off disease and boost immunity, it is a natural antimicrobial and an essential part of our immune system.
Hypochlorous acid has been studied in scientific literature for its properties in healthcare, wound care, and surface-cleaning applications.
Why isn't HOCl more widely known?
HOCl has been used for over 100 years, even in WWI for wounds. However, it hasn't been widely adopted because it is unstable. Other HOCl products and processes can degrade quickly or turn into bleach. They use hypochlorite (bleach), buffers like vinegar, or other additives in their production. This can lead to impure HOCl products that contain bleach or other contaminants.

How long is the solution effective?
Once dissolved, the solution remains effective when stored in a tightly sealed, opaque container at room temperature, out of direct sunlight. Optimal efficacy is maintained for 7 days. Discard, rinse the bottle and replace with a freshly prepared solution after this period.
How stable is this product?
Very stable. Even at extreme temperatures, our tablets only lose 5-7% of active chlorine over weeks—retaining 92-95% effectiveness. Testing meets international standards (GB/T 38499-2020).
Will the spring in the mist bottle rust or affect my solution?
No. Unlike other brands, GentleSen's concentration and pH level is much gentler on metal. Even if minimal corrosion occurred, the 7-day window is too short for it to affect the efficacy of the solution. Our formulation maintains ~90% potency by day 7, accounting for all factors. How do I use the tablets?
Simply use in tablet form or dissolve the tablet into clean water for effective use. Use with spray bottle or soak items. Dissolves in lukewarm water faster (within minutes). For best results, use distilled, filtered, RO or pure water to ensure the highest purity of the solution.
Can I use warm water?
Use lukewarm water—up to 40 °C speeds dissolution without degrading HOCl.

How should I store the tablets?
3rd party independent lab tests show our tablets maintain effectiveness for 24 months from date of manufacture when stored tightly and properly in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
